The Lorelei is the piece Van Briggle collectors come looking for. Named for the Rhine River siren of German legend, the design wraps a draped female figure around a cylindrical vase form — her arms and flowing hair pulling toward the opening at the top. This one is glazed in a shifting blue-purple matte, running from periwinkle at the base through a warm violet-mulberry at the shoulders. Eleven inches tall and in excellent shape.

Condition: Excellent No chips or cracks. Minor surface crazing visible on close inspection near the top — consistent with age and expected on matte Van Briggle. Displays beautifully with no visible damage.
