There is a crack in the wood and wear to the metal. Please see photos for further condition.
Civil War early pipe purchased from the Old Antietam Museum which was located on the main pike from Frederick, Maryland. This museum was closed and the contents sold. This pipe was from a field hospital after the battle and was found in the farmers barn along with a crutch and various other items donated to the museum years later. Great display item with warm patina. Really nice Rare Early Civil War Pipe with screw off clean out at the bottom and side.
